How AI can be used in your Community

What’s good AYS? I hope you are having a spectacular week as this week we are discussing one of my favourite topics, technology, or more specifically, AI. Today’s blog is all about how you are able to integrate AI into your own communities. AYS has already begun to add some AI features if you haven’t already noticed. Coming up!

Automated Messages - AYS currently uses an AI called WobblesAI, and handles all general growth questions in AYS. You may wonder, how does it work? What happens is we have a list of premade responses, and a certain word or text will trigger it in that channel. This can be particularly useful if you want to emphasise a set of rules, automate a questions channel, etc. If you’d like to check out WobblesAI, go ahead and ask a question here.

Chatting with Members - You may have heard of bots such as Discortics floating around Discord. Discortics is an AI bot designed to engage members in chat activity. What it does is whenever it is pinged with a message, it analyses what you have said and accordingly sends a message responding with something fun. This feature is highly useful for keeping channels active and members entertained.

Creating Information - Some servers use AI such as Chat GPT, Google Bard, etc. to create rules, information, lores and so much more. I myself use it to find inspiration or do research for things. This can definitely be useful for anyone if you don’t want to spend hours pondering over what to say.

Art Creation - In recent months, bots such as Midjourney have risen on Discord to provide AI image generation, with high quality artworks being produced, the sky's the limit when it comes to this. This can prove useful for when you want to design a graphic without spending hours working on it.

Translator - When being in international discord servers, you may find it hard to communicate with those who speak different languages. Bots such as iTranslator automate the translation process and send another message in the chat with the servers’ chosen language. This is extremely helpful for growing your server on an international scale and overall expansion/growth.
